As for the side effects, one can expect some amount of redness and swelling. These, are, however very common so there is nothing to worry about honestly. Initially, you may be a little sensitive to the sun so keep that in mind. In some cases, skin discoloration may also take place.

Does it take too long to heal? Well, not really when it comes to non-ablative lasers as they take very little time to heal. On the other hand, ablative laser treatments will take much longer. However, it also depends on a person’s individual healing type, as everyone’s body is different. To give you an idea, it may take 2-4 weeks.
